Why did you enter this pageant? When I entered the pageant I had just come out of a very hard time in my life.
I spent the previous 2 years dealing with an unknown form of auto immune arthritis and other debilitating
health issues. I told myself that if I regained my health I was going to pursue my dreams and not waste one
single day. This pageant is the first step in that process!

What is your secret to a successful marriage? I believe that there is no secret to a successful marriage besides
hard work, communication and commitment. Every marriage will have its ups and downs. Both partners must
be committed to make the relationship a priority and have the willingness to keep the lines of communication
open when faced with conflict.

As Mrs. Oregon America, what would you hope to accomplish? I would like to raise awareness about my
platform, Food Intolerance Awareness, which is very common but often undetected by the medical community.
I suffered with food intolerances for about two and a half years before a self diagnosis. Thankfully, I diagnosed
myself about 3 weeks after I had entered the pageant. I'd been to seven different doctors and none of them could
tell me what was wrong with me. I've written my story and would love to use the title to get it published in at
least one magazine. I would also love to be a role model and source of encouragement to other stay at home
moms. Being a stay at home mom of two little ones is hard because of the limited adult interaction on a daily
basis. This pageant has really forced me to branch out and set aside time to myself that I otherwise may not
have had. It has been the journey of a lifetime and I would love to encourage other stay at home moms to enter
the Mrs. Oregon pageant
