What are the qualifications of a Mrs Oregon Titleholder? Our titleholder needs to be of good moral character, 18 years of age, married with a valid marriage license, and a us citizen. You must be able to fulfill the duties of Mrs Oregon such as, appearances (approx 12 set appearances a year), compete at the National Mrs America Pageant (10 days), remain married throughout her reign, and be present to crown her successor at the next state pageant. What if I have a full time job or do not live in the area of where the appearances are located? We do our very best to accommidate each individual Mrs Oregon titleholder. We recognize that many of our ladies have full time jobs and full time families. We do our best to adjust all schedules accordingly. This is Mrs Oregon's year and she can do as much or as little as she would like, keeping in mind this is a once in a lifetime experience. We have some mandatory appearances (6 for the year) but they are generally sponsors or set appearances and are on the weekends most of the time. Is there a way to gain sponsors? Although many women save up for this event, yes, there are many creative ways to gain sponsorship, advertisers, and family/friend support. Call our offices and we would be more then happy to share those ideas with you. This is about reaching out into your community and you would be surprised at the support you can and will receive. The advantage to signing up early is that you will have more time to gain that support. What does my entry fee cover? Your entry fee/advertising covers the cost to put on the event, such as: insurance, franchaise fees, video, photos, facility, banners, office expenses, advertising and marketing materials, printing, production, prizes, gifts and more. We maintain a low entry fee so that every woman feels they received a top notch experience for the price. When can I start looking for sponsors? Once your application has been accepted you can start that very day. You will receive information on how to gain sponsors in the Official Packet that will be emailed to you. You will receive your banner once we have received your payment in full for the Entry Fee. (your ticket and ad money will be due later). Start with businesses that you know. Dress nicely and have a letter in hand. We can help you formulate this letter if you have any questions how. What if I win Mrs Oregon, what then? Great question! Once crowned Mrs Oregon America you will meet with the directors to go over your calendar, set goals, budget for nationals, and help you on your preparation for the Mrs America Pageant. You will have to fundraise for your National Ad Page (we pay $300) which is $1000 (due in March). Also, you will want to fundraise to offset your budget but we are there to help you with some great ideas on ways to achieve your goal!
